It is that time of year again, the autumn/winter season is upon us, and everywhere we turn we are getting tips on how to create the perfect  Autumn/Winter wardrobe. This is about the time that I begin to think that I have nothing in my wardrobe that is suitable for the new season, and go on numerous spending sprees trying to obtain the must have pieces that I just have to buy right now…

Well this year I have decided to be discerning in my purchasing. I have a ‘system’ in place which will begin with a rundown of a few crossover or transitional pieces from my wardrobe. I will then select a few key items that I am going to purchase to update my existing autumn/winter staples.

This year I intend to start building a capsule A/W work wardrobe with pieces versatile enough to take me into the weekend, and if I am lucky into spring 2015!
Well, that may be pushing it. “baby steps”…..
