Finding capsule pieces that are simple , stylish and adaptable is a must, as we often find ourselves moving form one place to another at a moment’s notice. The dilemma of how to move from work to bar, or from the school run to dinner can be tricky to navigate .  How do we remain stylish and practical with limited time and budgets? Work-life merger can be applicable to our wardrobes, and our Reiss work dress can be upgraded to our office party dress, or dinner with friends dress.  Quality is sometimes better than quantity and we all like something that is designed to last beyond one season,  sometimes all it takes is one great dress and some clever accessorising to make the switch.

For eight weeks I was glued to my TV every Thursday night at 9pm, because it was the hour of the honourable woman, played by the phenomenal Maggie Gyllenhaal. My Scandinavian noir withdrawals were briefly held at bay by the advent of one of the best non-imported dramas UK TV has seen in a long time, not to mention one of the best characterisations of a complex female protagonist.
