Let’s face it after a fabulous weekend spent by the beach, by the lake or in our own back garden, a funny feeling comes over us at about 8pm on a Sunday evening. At the strike of the hour our minds drift from the relaxation and frivolity of the weekend to strategy, case files, presentations, reports, projects, and email!

Shortly after I have run through the entirety of my diary for the week in my head, my thoughts turn to the ubiquitous question which every woman asks herself, ‘what am I going to wear tomorrow?

Career Conscious

As an ambitious and confident new graduate we are keen to create the best possible first impression. We have crafted the perfect CV, been coached on everything from psychometric tests to effective presentation skills. We have practiced our interview technique until nobody in our family or friendship network can take any more. Extensive research has been undertaken on our future employer on everything from their CSR strategy to their current stock price,  but as our day to excel and shine approaches we may have overlooked one last and important detail…..what am I going to wear?

The Casual Smarts ImageWorkwear is changing, it is chic, dynamic and style conscious. In an age where personal brand and professional image are familiar buzz words what you wear to work is becoming more important. However, it is not just about what you wear, but how you wear it. Your personal style and the workplace culture are important considerations when selecting items for your working wardrobe, but how do you reconcile the two? I came up with the idea for this blog as I wanted to illustrate that women do not necessarily fit into one workwear style box, they are diverse and work in a myriad of different work environments.
