So here we are in the middle of the art season, with the opening of the Foundation Louis Vuitton, Frieze London and FIAC all having taken place in early autumn. Creatives are now looking forward to Art Basel Miami which starts tomorrow.
Wish you were there? Me too!
There is a silver lining…. closer to home in London there are a number of fantastic V&A exhibitions to keep us happy. I have the Horst and the Alexander McQueen ’Savage Beauty’ exhibitions on my to do list!
On another note, I am particularly excited about the re-opening of the Picasso Gallery in Paris. My first visit to the museum was in 2008 just before it closed for renovation and I remember the space being quite intimate and set within the elegant Hotel Sale.
I visited the museum with my mother before going for tea at Laduree, which should be a mandatory Parisian rite of passage, if followed by a trip to Buly and dinner at Baccarat. My visit was short because we were leaving that evening on Eurostar to London, but to this day it remains one of my favourite places to visit in Paris, coming only second to the Rodin.
With so much creative inspiration from the various exhibitions and art festivals, it would only be right for me to ensure that my wardrobe rises to the occasion….so here is my edit of the key pieces to be seen in on the arts scene.
